Happy 2 Months Luke!

20131010-IMG_0267.jpg

Wow, two months old! It is amazing how much can change in a month. I already feel like I have many more things to write about you this month compared to last month. Overall, you seem less content at two months old compared to one month. I’m not sure exactly what the fussiness is all about, but we think it may be acid reflux or possibly an issue with dairy.  Hopefully we’ll figure it out soon so you won’t feel so bad. 20131017-IMG_0308.jpg

You are more alert every day and you have been sleeping for much longer stretches at night. I knew you were growing, but I was amazed to find out that you weigh more than a pound more than your brother did at 2 months. That might make wearing hand-me-downs a little difficult!20131025-IMG_0606.jpg

You started smiling this month and it melts my heart. I love to see you smile! You have found your hands and at times like to suck on your hands. I’m curious to see if you end up being a thumb-sucker. 20131025-IMG_0612.jpg

You are an extremely expressive little boy from smiles to wrinkly foreheads to big eyes. Sometimes we joke that you have “big-eyed” us when we you give us a certain look. You’ve also started making the cutest baby noises.20131030-IMG_0668.jpg

You can be quite picky about the way you like to be held. Sometimes you make your dad hold you like the photo below to be happy. :) 20131030-IMG_0722.jpg20131102-IMG_0807.jpg Luke @ one month

Happy 2 Months Troy!

Happy 2 Months Troy! This post is a little late because you turned two months old during the week of Thanksgiving

This month flew by just as fast as the first month. In fact, it is hard to believe that you have already been with us on the outside for two months. In ways, it seems longer (like during the nights you still keep us up!), but in others it seems impossible that you are already two months old.

You started smiling this month, and it is hard to describe the pure joy and warmth we feel from seeing your smile. You are still a mama's boy, and would much rather be held than lay in your swing or bouncy seat.

You finally decided that your pacifier was OK, although you still try to get your thumb to suck on at times. You have also become very attentive to the things around you. You like to watch the mobile on your swing, and you also enjoy listening to the music your swing plays. In fact, if the music stops, you start fussing!

Although you are still small (only 9 lbs, 11 oz at your two month check-up), you strength continues to grow. You hold your head up very well! You've continued to struggle with reflux which is difficult not only for you, but for us as well. We hate to see you not feeling well! We love you so much!
